Eric Shahinian is a graduate of the Columbia University Film MFA program whose short films have screened on PBS, the Jacob Javits Center, Lincoln Center and the Anthology Film Archives.

His short film “Foreign Sounds” won the Grand Prize for Best Student Film at the Oscar-Qualifying Flickers: Rhode Island International Film Festival and his film “Head Above Water” won the Best Short Film Award from the Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival and has been distributed by Discover Film, Euro IFC and is currently on Omeleto.

His screenplays have placed in the Semi-finals and Quarterfinals at Script Pipeline, Scriptapalooza, ShoreScripts, Finish Line, Creative World Awards competitions as well as a Global Script Finalist at the Oaxaca Film Festival. He is currently developing two narrative feature screenplays.
